Baby Bear

Early Learning (children 2 and under)

Developed in partnership with teachers and literacy specialists, Baby Bear supports your child’s development from the very beginning. Each delivery centres around a different animal theme, bringing fresh excitement and focus to every box.

Each delivery includes:

A sensory book to promote early motor skills & sensory development
A beautifully illustrated picture book linked to the animal theme
A soft toy that matches the animal character featured in both books
A Spotlight Card filled with expert tips and ideas for playful learning

Cub

Reading foundations (2-3 years)

Our most hands-on club for our littlest members. The deliveries each have a learning theme and subtly teach children a range of early skills and concepts.

Each delivery includes:

• a spotlight card providing an overview of the learning focus, including ideas for additional activities and games to extend learning

• a nursery rhyme or song, which encourages children to hear rhymes and patterns (the foundation of reading)

• six highly illustrated activity sheets for children to practise the focus skills

• TWO carefully chosen picture books related to the theme of the month

• a puppet to open up a world of imaginary play

• additional gifts to delight and reward little readers along the way!

Teddy

First steps (3-4 years)

Teddy club bundles help pre-reception children develop a range of basic life skills, from sparking curiosity about the world around them to being able to talk about a story.

Each delivery includes:

• a spotlight card to highlight the focus skills of the month, including ideas for additional activities and games to extend learning

• a nursery rhyme or song, which encourages children to hear rhymes and patterns (the foundation of reading)

• six highly illustrated activity sheets designed by educational professionals

• a wordless book. By discussing what they see in the pictures these special books encourage children to talk, listen and expand their vocabulary

• TWO carefully chosen picture books, linked to the theme, to enjoy together.

• additional items to delight and celebrate progress along the way!

Age bands

The Bear Can Read age guides are a reference point only. The description of each reading stage is your best guide. Please don’t worry if your child’s reading level does not correspond with their exact age. Reading is a journey and it is most important to get books at the right reading level – this will allow children to make the most efficient process.

Rewards as you go

Just like you, we know the power of rewards and treats to motivate little ones. Each month, you’ll find a small gift inside your delivery (Japanese paper balloons, torches or special notebooks, for example). We also celebrate milestones. Send us a photo of your child's complete progress chart, and we'll add an additional gift into their next delivery.
